http://www.theWolfGroup.org - The WolfGroup - Performance Consultants
It took a while to capture in words what we do for clients: "Our focus is on enhancing organizational performance. Through evaluation, troubleshooting and facilitation, we partner with clients to take stock of past performance, diagnose their current challenges, and help them define their strategy for the future."
Since 5 years, the Wolfgroup has worked with international humanitarian and development organizations. This could be United Nations agencies- the World Health Organization, helping them create training for a pandemic preparedness, the World Food Programme, studying the results of their work in the Democratic Republic of Congo, or helping UNRWA mark their 60th anniversary of supporting Palestinian Refugees in the middle east. Our clients also include non-governmental organizations (Action Against Hunger, Oxfam, B'tselem) and Red Cross Agencies (ICRC, IFRC, American Red Cross).
We pride ourselves on being practical, insightful, future-looking, ideating consultants, who thrive on complexity and deliver results. The inspiration for the 'We solve problems' motto was Winston Wolf from Pulp Fiction (http://thewolfgroup.org/About/about.html). Only later did we recognize how far the wolf metaphor could be stretched...
Not entirely sure what to put here-
The WolfGroup is a platform- we bid on work, assembling ad hoc teams that bring in the requisite expertise for the project from our global networks of consultants.
Our core market is international organizations- but not uniquely- some think-tanks and corporate entities have been clients.
Potential clients will stumble on our site while looking for specific skill sets (facilitation, evaluation, project development, training) or by themes (development, peacebuilding, peacekeeping).
It is an existing market, a niche we know- and are increasingly well known in. Within organizations, the types of people who might visit our website would be those involved in results-based management, managers looking for consultants to staff a particular project/consultancy, or specialists looking for the types of services we have to offer.
While people have been intrigued by theWolfgroup name (if they read the 'About' page) some in the non-profit world have considered it as 'aggressive'- the negative connotation of 'hungry like wolves' I suppose?
People say they like the website, though I am not sure it is really generating business as much as it is a solid signpost online, part of the brand identity, and a quick introduction to who we are and what we do.
We would like to expand our clientele towards the private sector over time.
Take a look at the website- http://www.theWolfGroup.org. Understand how we came about, the kinds of work we do, the types of clients we work for, and the places we carry out our work. The visual identity has developed as our ideas of the company have evolved and clarified.
The logo should be something thought-provoking- while globes and wolf images might be obvious imagery for our name and work, we want something that is edgy and can add onto our existing collective identity. I wonder what kind of logo René Magritte would design?
We want a logo that will grace our website, business cards and letterhead.
Would like to see have a logo that is comfortable living with and without 'the Wolfgroup' text.
Clearly we appreciate the high-contrast black + white graphics; we leave you the liberty to suggest something else.
We are huge fans of Moo minicards (http://uk.moo.com/en/products/minicards.php).
Have attached some graphics we have used in past + minicards.
As we've never commissioned a logo before, we aren't sure what else to add- ask us questions and we will clarify as best we can!
