XII Orchard Systems, ISHS symposium.
• Orchard Systems: training and architecture, light management and pruning
• Environmental Physiology: tree productivity, source/sink relations, fruit quality, flowering, fruit set and plant growth regulators, water relations and soil management
The symposium will be held in Wenatchee, WA (USA), an very important area of cultivation of apple, pear and cherry. This is an international scientific international symposium open to researchers, from private and public institutions working on improving production of the above mentioned crops, from all over the world.
Although we don't want to exclude the option in any way, the concept of a simple tree and/or apple is kinda "obvious". We'd like the logo to represent somehow also additional concepts like research, technology and environment.
Also, as general information, please note that modern production trees are generally made of a rootstock and a grafted scion, detail that would be nice to highlight if a tree still part of the logo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit
Looking at several submission I'd like to point out that "XII Orchard Systems" (or at least "Orchard Systems") is the full name of the convention, so it should probably be treated as one title (e.g. don't "split" it with different colors or styles)
