Cover Design for Nonprofit Annual Report

Aviva provides a comprehensive range of mental health and educational services to low-income children and families in Los Angeles County.

We are in the process of creating our 2012 Annual Report, and we are looking for a cover design that captures our theme. THEME "Together as One": The theme we are trying to convey through our annual report is the importance of working together and combining our efforts to create a larger impact and long-lasting change. We are using a water metaphor; each volunteer and donation is like a drop of water. On their own, they may not amount to much, but when you pool together those efforts and resources, they become a trickle that turns to a stream, and that stream steadily grows and combines with other streams to become a coursing river of change. Rivers have the power to change landscapes, and that's the kind of message we want to let our supporters know. Their support, regardless of size, all contributes to our collective efforts and will have a lasting impact on all of Los Angeles. COVER DESIGN: For the cover, we'd like it to be clean, bright, inspirational, and incorporate some water imagery to reflect our theme. If possible, it would be great if we could incorporate some Los Angeles imagery (maybe the Los Angeles skyline or cityscape) into the cover to show the community we serve, but it's not mandatory. The attached document is the 2011 Annual Report from the Change a Life Foundation, and we really liked the style and design of their cover. We don't necessarily need pictures of children and families on the cover, but we are not opposed to it either.
