Domaine Pinnacle (http://www.domainepinnacle.com) is a leading producer of cider products in Canada. We are launching a new line of still and sparkling (alcoholic) table ciders under the brand name "CID’’. This cider is a new brand that will be sold in large grocery stores and will NOT be directly associated with our main brands, which are sold in a different sales channel (SAQ government-owned liquor stores). Initially the product line will have two SKUs (still and sparkling) but eventually we may extend the product line to include other types of ciders.

CID is a semi-dry, refreshing table cider that has a fresh, fruity character, balanced with a crisp acidity. This is a product that can be consumed much like a white or rosé wine. Both the still and sparkling versions are packaged in clear 750 ml. bottles. The product will be priced at approximately $10 retail, a good value and competitive in the market.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach

The brand name "CID" is a commonly used slang pronunciation of the word ‘’Cidre’’ (French for “cider”) in the French-speaking province of Quebec. We are looking to create a design and image that is fun, trendy and that could create a “buzz”. For example, the CID graphic could, when the letter “c” is elongated, show a stylized foot or step that could be used in advertising. This is just one example for illustration (that can be used in your visuals) but we are open to new ideas and concepts. We ALSO want to convey the image that the product is of quality and is authentic – that is to say made from 100% locally picked Quebec apples and natural. The product must be attractive and stand out on the shelf from the hundreds of wine and cider products in this market.

Target market is(18-35 years), social and urban with an interest in local food and drinks. The market has moderate and above income, including both males and females but slightly weighted to females.

必要条件

Label design for two products - still cider and sparkling cider; both must be submitted together with both capsules.

The labels must fit on the flat portion of the bottles (paper or transparent film). The still cider is finished with a BVS twist cap, which can be printed any design. The sparkling cider will be finished with a cork, wirehood and foil and will use a typical champagne style bottle. Diagrams of the two bottles are attached. The product (liquid) color resembles the competitive product Degel referred to above.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Presentation of 2D concept boards with front and back labels and a visual with the labels/capsules on both bottles shown in color
• Revisions and fine tuning as necessary to finalize design
• Realization of fully finalized ready to print AS Adobe Illustrator CS3 files.

FRONT LABEL text:
• CID (brand name) with distinctive logo and small TM symbol next to logo
• Cidre Tranquille - Still Cider (Package A)
• Cidre Pétillant - Crackling Cider (Package B)
• 750 ml.
• 9% alc./vol.
• Minimum size for the legal
• Produit du Québec - Product of Québec
• Legal text minimum of 6 mm. high based on the lower case "o", clearly legible
