I am the managing principal of a 12-person consulting company. Most of clients are in the design and construction industry. I have a long-running weblog http://www.reformingprojectmanagement.com. I do a lot of work on leadership, training and coaching. The company specializes in applying "lean thinking" to project-based work.
I'm innovative and bold in my business pursuits. We've grown the company steadily by 2 people/year for the last 5 years. We will continue to do that this year and next. We have very large clients along with some very small ones.
I am rather active in the general lean community. I am well-connected to the major experts and other consultants along with the bloggers and those people participating in the social media.
I want potential readers to have a confidence that I can do what the title is promising.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My target is a person in a company who is in the role of leading a lean initiative. That role is an extremely challenging and rewarding position. People who succeed turn their company around or make them wildly successful. But most people are not succeeding. They aren't prepared for the leadership challenges. That's where this book comes in.
I don't have a good market size. I'm expecting that my clients will be the principal buyers.
The book is paperback 5.5 x 8.5. The page count is not final. The editor won't be done for another 3 to 4 weeks. However, the book is in the range of 144-160 pages. The back cover will have the usual blurbs, website details, ISBN and barcode. None of the details are available. Will provide them to the winning designer.
I've attached an excerpt from the book including a mock-up of the title pages. I expect those pages will change based on what is done on the cover. They are just placeholders for now.
I'm ok with bold color. There will be 3 or 4 more titles in the series. Your submissions should indicate how you would handle the series although the titles are not available.
The artwork needs to be ready to submit to the publisher. In this case it is Amazon's CreateSpace, https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/. See the detail on the "Booksizes and Artwork" tab. It will be a PDF with fonts embedded.
