We need a Poster (692 x 992, 300dpi, CMYK) for our “Librarianship Matters” campaign.
In times of budget cuts and Google hegemony (as provider of every kind of information) libraries are facing problems in showing their value and importance to the campus/society. But only thanks to the library services the users (researcher, student, faculty, staff) can alleviate the information overload (meaning that the users can find exactly what they want – valuable contents, without losing time with hundreds of no-relevant results). In addition only a library could provide uncensored information.
Main messages are:
You’ll achieve with library services.
You’ll succeed with library services.
Library services are e.g.
To provide the user with collections (special, digital etc.)
It is possible to borrow, renew & reserve resources
Long term preservation
Ask a Librarian (face to face support or via email)
The target group of the posters includes Staff, Faculty/Administrators, end-user (student).
Please don’t focus only on students.
Please don’t use books/bookshelf - this connection with libraries is old fashion.
We need the open files at the end to translate it into different languages.
