My name is Jonathon Lee and I am starting my own law practice. I am entering into a world where "big law" reigns supreme and need to capture my audience with a professional logo that lets others know I am a serious player and can bring a fight to the table for my clients.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My most concerning audience is other law firms. When you receive stationary from a law firm, most often you don't know anything about them. That first impression can help to legitimize you and your practice. I need you to help me reach that goal. My secondary audience would be my clients. I want them to see a logo and feel that they are being represented by a true professional.
I am looking for a logo that can be used as letter head and on business cards and/or other appropriate items. I was thinking about something with interlocking L's, but by no means am I attached to that concept. The scales of justice and/or lady justice are often used in law firm logos. I am not concerned with having such an image attached to my own logo but would not look down at any submissions that utilize such an image. My biggest concern is looking competent, professional, capable, and experienced. I have seen law firm logos that are done poorly and you don't take that particular person/firm/client seriously. I like the colors gold and blue but am not sure that they go together, maybe one or the other. Having said that though, I am not opposed to other colors that invoke a sense of power and/or professionalism. I am depending on you to be my creative muse, my creative side is lacking. One note, my practice will be in the middle of appalachia, so, it might be appropriate to use some type of mountain image with the logo to symbolize not only my heritage and practice area, but also a sense of power and strength. Help me out, I have seen the work on this site and have been impressed....I am counting on you! Thanks for your help and good luck!
