Require a home page and layout for a secondary webpage for a website "Capital Guardians". The website is to display information to interested parties about the business that manages the "petty cash" of aged care residents in nursing homes. The target audience are the professional managers who run these homes and the guardians who manage the small $$$ of the residents.
1.1 The Objectives
§ Want toconvey a professional image of a successful modern company.
§ Veryeasy to get around, intuitive.
§ Thebusiness is to be positioned to the aged care industry where elderly people areenjoying their retirement and happy times.
§ Theessence of the brand is to “make life easy” and eliminate the administrativehassles of petty cash management for elderly people who are not looking aftertheir own financials. The website is toconvey the “trust” and integrity of the business in freeing up individuals fromadministrative tasks and introducing the comfort of transparency, access andconfidence in the business managing someone’s financial affairs.
§ This notcomplex, hence words need to be kept to a minimum, lots of photos, again easy.
1.2 The Target Audience
The target audience is largely three important groups:
This is largely people who are considering using the service who viewthe public website. They will be:
§ Agedcare residential facilities (where elderly people stay);
§ Relativesof elderly who look after an aged persons financial affairs; or
§ Formalisedpower of attorneys, who look after an aged persons financial affairs –contractually (they get paid for it), ie Trustee organisations
The residential facilities include the key decision makers being: the manager;the administration clerk; and the “Board” of Directors. These decision makers care about:security/integrity and trust of the system (the money is safe) and the ease ofuse (especially its simplicity for administrative) including the fact thatthere isn’t much work for the facility to do (they “endorse” the system toothers).
The relatives and formalised power of attorneys aremore interested in simplicity of the system, ensure it just makes sense….
1.3 The Proposition
Cash management simplicity for residents in nursingfacilities allowing them freedom of access to goods and services without hassleand management ease & transparency for their families.
1.4 Tone of Voice
Trusted banker, mentor or accountant. He is professional, but not officious, morelike the family solicitor or accountant.
1.5 Additional Points
I expect the home page to be very simple with the limited text below, maybe three great click thru icon's photos implying great experiences in an aged care theme.
The secondary page maybe a bit more work as it has all the secondary headings (that might be accessible from the home page), and the simple layout or other treatment of these headings (pop up, roll over, etc) will require a bit more thought, the vertical index here might be down the left hand side?, when the horizontal index tab (secondary heading) is selected. Great photos, making the text headings easy to read might pop up here.
Naturally we will get it coded, just the design of how it will represent is required.

Potential customer looks atthe website and want to get a feeling of comfort. Immediately goes to about us and clicks onthe Relatives & Power of Attorney (resident representatives) button andreads the content with particular focus on the “how it work” (do theyunderstand it is it simple) and security*. The potential customer will probably print this page, where by it willcome out in an A4 format looking like a professional brochure (with contactinformation on the bottom right).
A residential facility isresearching the service, and enters the website, where immediately they need toquickly see: how the system works, where they will be presented with easy tofollow steps* on what has to be done, how to sign up* – where they will be ableto follow directions on how to signup, who to contact* for more questions, andalso an area where they can view who/what* is behind the business and thesecurity of their funds.

CapitalGuardians provides a service to make life easy as it manages all “petty cash” payments on your behalf. All you have to do is ensure the “trust account” is topped up, when reminders are given.
Albeit, the service is powered largely through the internet, if required, the services are accessible without using a computer at all…..you can receive statements in the mail.
CapitalGuardians acts just like a secure bank account that can only be spent on a limited number of products or services.
Several methods are available to post Deposits to resident accounts. Cash can be manually posted to an account for Cash given by family or relatives via electronic deposits. Direct deposits for pension or trustee allowances can be
organised. CapitalGuardians alerts you, via email or SMS when the account reaches the maximum allowable limit of funds allowed.
Withdraws Residents can withdraw cash to spend, via the residential facilities petty cash system or residents can charge the items or services to be deducted from their account.
Statements CapitalGuardians offers detailed Resident Statements, generally accessed via the internet, or, if requested, can be received in the mail, like a traditional banks statement.
