BidBlink.com
BidBlink is a penny auction website.
Auctions on BidBlink are a lot like the classic live auction where an eager auctioneer shouts encouragement as people in the crowd raise their hand to bid. A click on the "Bid" button is your hand raise, and the countdown timer is the auctioneer crying “going once... going twice..." To win it all on BidBlink, just be the last bidder when the countdown timer hits zero.
I want to take BidBlink into a blend between gaming and eCommerce. So even though real money is at stake, playing on BidBlink blends into playing a game, where you level up, gain badges, and interact with your friends, all while getting 'loot' (brand new physical products that we ship to you).
The same people who play on BidBlink tend to shop on Woot and Groupon. For fun, they might play Farmville.
Change the home page of BidBlink.com to add a new header, specifically the part that currently begins "How Penny Auctions Work on BidBlink". I do NOT want to redesign the whole page, just that section of the page. Please see the attached file to see which part of the site I want to change.
The new header should look slicker and sexier but still fit in with the rest of the page. It should be static, not rotating like it currently does.
Here is the copy that I want:
"huge savings on brand new products" -- that should be big and bold.
In terms of imagery, I want photos of these products: iPad, iPhone, HDTV, Kindle, Wii, X-Box, digital camera, iPod Nano, netbooks, gift cards. (if those images are too much for the design, I listed these in priority order. So if only an iPad, iPhone, and HDTV fit with the design, there's no need to include everything).
Below that should be a tutorial area. Here is the copy I want:
"
Playing is easy!
1. Register & Get Bids
Buy Bids for just 40c and start bidding on auctions
2. Bid on Brand New Products
Choose from the hottest items like HDTV's, iPads & More!
3. Win!
Bid on an auction. If you're the last bidder, YOU WIN!
"
To the right of that should be a call to action orange button that reads "Start Bidding >>" with subtext "Registration is FREE and easy."

Specified in requirements.
http://www.bigdeal.com/ contains just what I'm looking for. Although I would like the header to be shorter, and obviously I don't want to outright copy them.
http://www.quibids.com is also nice, especially the how it works section.
