CloudSponge.com is cornering the address book importing market. Our product makes it extremely easy for internet entrepreneurs to add functionality to their websites for importing their users' address books. It's extremely easy to use and we're starting to get a ton of traffic, so it's time that we made the site beautiful to maximize our traffic and make sure we convert it to paying customers!
Our audience is anyone who is building web-based businesses. Entrepreneurs, developers, freelancers, consulting firms and so on. They are a hard working, creative bunch, and they typically take themselves and their projects very seriously. They are comparing our product to open source packages that do something similar (such as OpenInviter) and other vendors (such as the late Octazen). Our website needs to show that we're serious about our product and our service and it needs to give a feeling of stability, confidence and robustness.
Please read the contest comments! I've added lots of detail that isn't written here.
The entire website needs to be redesigned, including the logo, layout, colors, fonts, and anything else you think needs a makeover. The content will change often while we grow and learn from our customers, so don't worry too much about the text itself.
If you cannot submit a redesigned logo, please feel free to use a variation on our current logo instead. It has come to my attention that the logo design contest should be separate from the website redesign contest, so I do not want to limit my ability to get good submissions by forcing the logo design into this contest. I will not judge your design poorly if you do not produce a new logo.
We are currently missing a place on the website to showcase our existing customers (with URLs, screenshots of their websites, etc.) so please include that in your design. For each customer, I will need to display their company name, a link to their website and 3-5 screenshots of the part of their website that is integrated with CloudSponge.com.
Remember that we are serious about our business and our product and our would-be customers are very serious people too. The design needs to be modern and contemporary, but not dry and boring. It's a tough balance but I'm sure the right designer can pull it off for us.
As a final deliverable, we need to have copies of source files (psd, ai, etc.) so that we can tweak and adapt it ourselves as we grow and change.
