Have you ever needed $50 for groceries, gas or a night out but couldn't find a quick job to put the cash in your pocket today? We are in the process of developing a website that will allow individuals to post gigs and members of their community to apply to fill them. Sample gigs include cutting the grass for an elderly neighbor, tutoring the kid down the street in math, putting an IKEA cabinet together for the single mom or helping a father assemble his daughters swing set on a Saturday afternoon.
Peggsit.com will connect individuals who need things down with the people willing to do it! The goal is to compliment our users income with short-term opportunities that do not require an extended application process or long-term commitment. Best of all, ‘employers’ get the help they need and ‘job seekers’ walk away with cash in their pockets!
Our aim is to create an entirely new job market for short term ‘gigs’ Our tagline, Get Paid in Your Free Time, says it all!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target market will include US residents, with our beta release occurring in the Bay Area. Initially, our goal is to target ‘employers’ to post and ‘job seekers’ to apply to gigs. The employers tend to be between the ages of 25 and 45 and female. The Job Seekers skew much younger, in the 18 to 25 range with an almost even split between men and women.
The design should reflect the core values of our company: modern, sleek, simple and easy to use. We do not have any color preferences, but blue should be the primary color (think Twitter, Facebook). Feel free to incorporate the other colors included in our logo (see attached).
In terms of deliverables, please keep in mind the following:
• We are looking for Design Only. Deliverable should be a .psd file
• Optimized for 1024x768 screen
• Template/Design has to be CMS agnostic
See attachment for Homepage Wireframe as well as the peggsit.com logo. Design should take into account prominent placement of search bar on homepage. Also, we require a clean and clear diagram showing ‘How it Works.’ Finally, bottom navigation to About, Help, Community and Contact Us should look like orangeslyce.com
In terms of functionality, TaskRabbit is our closest competitor. The site layout and location of header, footer, navigation menus, etc will be very close to what we are designing on pages other than the homepage.
We like the size, location, look and feel of the search bar on the homepage
We like the bright, warm and welcoming feel of OrangeSlyce.com
We like how clean and clear the site is and focuses most (if not all) attention on the search box
