Jason was born and raised in the Ozark mountains of Missouri and Arkansas, fishing some well-known bass fisheries such as Table Rock, Bull Shoals, Truman, Lake Ouachita. His introduction to fishing came early as a child while fishing with his father and grandfather. Not until he moved to Texas and joined the McKinney Bass Club did the sport of fishing become competitive.
