There have long been rumours of a mole in the company, selling secrets to an industry news site. Jack juggles the difficulties of running an investigation in a building where he will be instantly recognised with the ridiculous choice to keep his wife in the dark.
The story unfolds against the backdrop of a fishing port in long decline, where redundancy is the norm, and county line gangs operate.
The big reveal takes place in a local landmark on the docks called the ice factory, a derelict Victorian structure with conveyors like great arms that used to carry ice from the factory to the trawlers in the dock.")
