As described by Erin Serracino Inglott in Il-Miklem Malti, a gamewwa represents beauty, memory, and heritage, making it a fitting metaphor for this book.
The stories reflect Malta’s past, filled with love, wisdom, and a way of life slowly fading. The cover design draws on this sense of intimacy and cultural preservation, using warm textures, ornamental motifs, and a subdued palette to evoke something cherished and passed down through generations.")

I'm a freelance digital artist, illustrator, and designer based in Malta (Europe). I graduated with a BFA in Digital Arts, specialising in Animation, from the University of Malta. With over eight years of experience, my creative practice bridges storytelling, motion, and design, spanning character illustration, cover design, book layouts, and 2D/3D animation.
