The client wanted a unique and legally watertight design that could be expressed in various manners to reflect each business offering; Doxie Xpress (Service Station), Doxie Cleaning, Doxie Running, Unruly Dachshunds and a Chicken Shop. When designing this I see Doxie coming to life in animated sense. I'm glad that the client loved this, particularly because their previous mascot was challenged legally. No more problems there.")

It is not perfect but I really like the skewed backdrop - it gives a sense of movement, dynamism and I dare say flame grilled goodness. Am I bad?")

I had a couple of good ideas but decided to showcase this version; reason being - I like the vertical aspect and can see the signage working really well - particularly from the street view. Not to mention the typographic structure leaning toward asian/kanji type and architecture.")

This one came together for me instantly eventhough I have no direct association with the product. I really enjoyed interpreting their product in a geometric manner. To me a true visualization shows one, no more than two attributes graphically. I really wanted to focus on the size of the market, whereas, the secondary element being growth by colour. Visualisations really come to life with interaction - then we can really engage.")

This was a highly fun and therapeutic little number for me. I had fun! I love the innocence and simplcity. The colours are ominous yet calming.")

Important to note that the illustrations would be used as part of the test kit in print format and on the iphone app. My approach was to focus on the goal of each step. Too much detail would not work in print and on the phone. I veered away from unsightly colours rather focussing the required action and not the artefact.")

The app provides minimal personalisation, gesture based interaction and most importantly uses the entire viewport to just type. You set your goal and you see your progress as you write. Very good for those 1,000 word essays, 240 word meta descriptions and 65 word meta-titles. My only gripe is that I really wanted to prototype this.")

This meant using a stroke weight that would mathematically work at 80px for the phone.")

Why am I here?
My passion is to design for new products and companies. I am a product design leader with an urge to be hands-on.
Simple yet no simpler. I lean toward minimalism yet I can get organic when it makes sense to do so. I love to iterate. I have my process, yet I find that no two designs end up following the same line.
99designs provides me with the opportunity to scan, research and work on channels that keeps me out of trouble and on my tippy toes.

"Whooshkla did a great job on my design. I would have released the payment immediately if not for the very poorly worded 99d design assignment agreement, which led me to believe I had not received full ownership rights. 99d needs to improve the agreement..."
