I had a really good experience with 99designs. I didn't quite know what I wanted from a logo, but I did know what I didn't want. I also didn't know any good designers, and had a limited budget. I received lots of really good submissions, and the process allowed me to find affordable designers, who I could work with to produce a high quality logo, that would otherwise be beyond my reach.
